Here at Oldways, we know the holidays can get a little hectic, and usually the first thing to get lost in all the wrapping paper is a healthy lifestyle. That’s why we made it easier for you to stay on track this holiday season by making both A Mediterranean Holiday Menu and a Latin Holiday Menu. Change up your Christmas traditions and surprise your guests (and possibly yourself) by making Chili-Lime Peanuts or “Pissaladiere,” a traditional onion, anchovy and olive tart popular in the Mediterranean region. The Mediterranean Diet and the Latin American Diets are notable for their “whole diet” approach.  Instead of isolating various foods which are “good” or “bad,” these eating styles take a lifestyle approach that includes eating from a well-rounded menu of foods largely from the plant kingdom, regular exercise and enjoying the company of friends and family.
