Oldways welcomes conversations about partnerships that are in line with our mission to improve public health by inspiring individuals and organizations to embrace the healthy, sustainable joys of the “old ways” of eating—heritage-based diets high in taste, nourishment, sustainability, and joy.

Organizational Partnerships

Content — Our nutrition experts develop a wide array of custom content (infographics, newsletter and blog articles, brochures, recipes, conference presentations, etc.), and we also offer co-branding and licensing opportunities

Curriculum Licensing — Organizations interested in teaching A Taste of African Heritage or A Children’s Taste of African Heritage can license each curriculum annually, which allows the licensee to download and print the curriculum and required entrance/exit surveys. This is a popular option for organizations with multiple locations. Alternatively, organizations and interested teachers can purchase the printed materials in our webstore with or without a license.

Culinaria Travel — Oldways has many years of experience planning unique culinary travel tours for groups. We can organize an incredible travel experience as part of an employee reward program, to be auctioned off at a fundraising gala, or for other occasions.

Nutrition Expertise — Organizations leverage our nutrition expertise through consulting engagements, having us speak at and moderate events, collaborating on content creation, and other opportunities.

Corporate Sponsorship — Companies work with us on important and influential nutrition and education programs while reaching their target audiences. Support from food associations, brands, food producers, distributors, and others provide essential support that makes our public health campaigns, programs, and projects successful.

CONFERENCES AND Events

Oldways has worked on conferences and special events around the world that highlight healthy foods and drinks. We look for projects based on scientifically-grounded concepts that will be cost-effective and have long-lasting impact. Examples of events we’ve designed and executed in recent years:

  • Troubled by the public perception that nutrition experts all disagree and that there’s no clear message on how to eat well, we gathered some of the world’s top nutrition scientists in one room for a weekend in November 2015 for a groundbreaking event called Common Ground which resulted in a Consensus Statement detailing their points of agreement.
  • Oldways partnered with the Nutrition Foundation of Italy (NFI) to organize an International Consensus Summit on Glycemic Index, Glycemic Load and Glycemic Response during June 2013 in Stresa, in the Italian Lakes District, north of Milan.
  • The Oldways Whole Grains Council holds an annual Whole Grains Sampling Day in March which offers opportunities for manufacturers, dietitians, restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, grocery stores, specialty food stores,  food trucks, and many others to work with us to spread the word about the benefits of eating whole grains.
