Calvis Williamson is the founder of The Afro Whisperer Group, LLC. Her passion for holistic health and wellness grew out of wanting to see her family, friends, and community live better. She is currently an Ambassador for the African Heritage and Health Program offered through Oldways. Through this program she is inspiring good health through cultural food traditions. In addition to educating others on topics such as food justice and culturally relative nutrition, she is also a product maker which allows her to utilize her herbal expertise. Although she has had a fulfilling careers for the past 14 years as an educator and curriculum coordinator she is actively making the transition to becoming a holistic health practitioner. Calvis holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida, a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition from Kingdom College of Natural Health.
