Since 2010, Oldways has been leading the charge in working with supermarket dietitians by creating an exciting and educational annual event to connect retail dietitians with food companies committed to improving public health. Coordinated with Barbara Ruhs, MS, RD, LDN, the symposium recognizes the important work retail dietitians do and looks toward the future to find practical, real solutions to improve the health of all Americans.

March 18–20

The 2018 event, themed “Engaging an Era of New Shoppers,” focused on how shopping habits are changing and what that means for supermarket dietitians. It included education about engaging shoppers with video and other digital tools,  as well as the importance to all retail dietitians of creating a coordinated marketing campaign strategy.
