Elyce Lloyd MLIS, HHC, CNWE is a  passionate educator and health and wellness enthusiast.  She believes in the power of plants for food as well as for medicinal purposes. Her  family has southern American roots and she as allways been intrigued with their cultural connections to the Continent. Elyce was very happy to learn about Oldways and the  A Taste of African Heritage and A Children’s Taste of African Heritage Cooking series, and has enjoyed teaching both adults and children. She is pleased to be an Oldways Ambassador

Elyce’s passion for Health and Wellness has led her to pursue further education and coursework in health and nutrition, including  certifications in health coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and in Nutrition and Wellness education from the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Her goal is to provide education to communities in an effort to promote healthy eating habits.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, writing and designing digital products. Additionally, she’s working on a passion project, a membership site providing information about food and culture across the African Diaspora.
