Ingredients

1 cup whole grain teff

3 cups water

4 tablespoons pure maple syrup

2 fresh oranges, peeled and cut into wedges

 

Instructions
  1. Add teff to boiling water. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Stir often. 
  2. Serve in a bowl with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh orange slices.

I made this and found teff kind of had a hint of sweetness already! I didn't need the syrup and added strawberries instead. Was good!

Love the mild flavor of the teff with the syrup. Such a difference from eating the common porridge or oatmeal were accustomed to in the US. Thank you!
