A can of beans is the key ingredient for this creamy dip. Instead of lemon and garlic, feel free to mix and match with the flavorings and spices of your choice! Spread on a whole grain cracker or toast, and top with chopped vegetables or herbs.
1 (14.5-ounce) can cannellini beans, or beans of your choice (garbnazo, navy, etc.)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1. Mix all ingredients in a food processor, or mash by hand until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste, or the spices of your choice!
2. To serve, spread on a whole grain cracker or toast.
