Whole Wheat Flatbread with Blackberries and Ricotta

Most flatbreads, like pizza, often go the savory route. But with fruit and honey, this dish makes for a delicious dessert or brunch option. If blackberries aren’t available near you, try other fresh fruits that you may have on hand, like blueberries or thinly sliced peaches.

Ingredients

1/2 pound whole wheat pizza dough

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 cup part-skim ricotta

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 450°F. Shape dough into a large, thin pizza shape and set on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Spread honey evenly across the dough, then top with ricotta and blackberries. Bake until crust is golden-brown, about 20 minutes.
  3. Top with fresh mint, then cut into small, thin rectangular pieces.
