The title says it all. No exaggeration. I have several cookbooks on whole grains and this is unlike any other. A complete global book packed with science.

Time to Explore! Such a wealth and plethora of information in this book! I love how the book has resources available that backs up the statistics on their infographics. Also, that it has an overview of each of the whole grains. What I found most practical is the dry amount to cooked amount yield. I cook a lot at home, and have found that I end up wasting food when I don’t know what the yield is. I will definitely be trying the recipes to help me explore the taste, texture of these nutrient-dense grains. This helps me meal prep better and minimize food waste. All part of a climate friendly way of living

Very colorful and informative, a helpful little book. Lots of good information in this book! I like the recipe ideas focused on the heritage diets “around the world”, complete with nutritional info for each recipe. Lovely illustrations. I agree with another reviewer–the cooking chart on the very last page is super helpful! Well put together book.

Complete information about whole grains. You get an explanation with visuals of the parts of a whole grain, how to identify whole grain packaging, how to appropriately store whole grains and basic directions on how to cook each grain. The diets with recipes representing the four corner of the earth are wonderful. Studying the diet pyramids for each heritage, one discovers that whole grains, vegetables and fruits are at the center of each diet. One realizes that we have all been lead astray. It is good to back to what we were intended to eat. and it feels great!

Wow!! I was very impressed with the different types of grains featured in this book as well as the different recipes offered. I have already tried
a couple of the recipes and have enjoyed them! Only drawback (and it is a food sensitivity on my part) is that I can’t eat shellfish and anchovies
don’t appeal to me! Thanks for compiling such a great book!

Instructions for cooking so many grains all in one place! I am thrilled to have Whole Grains Around the World. I love, love, love the Grains Cooking Chart on the last page–the basic cooking information for each of the grains is all in one easy to find reference page–the last page of the book. Love the comprehensive information about each grain at the beginning of the book plus the diet pyramids for the Mediterranean and African- Latin- and Asian-Heritage diets. So informative! And a week of recipes for each diet with such easy-to-prepare and delicious ways to incorporate whole grains into every meal is fabulous! Wow! This is the book I’ve been waiting for! Fantastic work!!!

A great resource for professionals and the public! I am a registered dietitian and think this is a terrific resource that I would recommend to my clients who are interested in incorporating more whole grains into their diets but aren’t sure how to do so. This book provides menu ideas, easy-to-follow cooking instructions for whole grains, and recipes. Also, it highlights the Whole Grain Stamp program and examines the health benefits of whole grains. I have many clients who are afraid to eat grains because of things they may read online, so this book is a great way to point them to the facts instead of the hype.

Content is very good, but as an older reader, I had a little difficulty with the format — why not increase the size of the book for better legibility? Thank you!
