Britt’s awakening to the ways food is deeply intertwined with health, the environment, ethics, and culture began at age 16, when she researched and chose to adopt a vegan diet. She deepened this understanding of interconnection while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and EcoGastronomy at the University of New Hampshire, where she also developed a strong interest in ecologically sustainable intentional communities. Over the past decade, she has held a variety of roles—serving, cooking, growing, studying, and communicating about food—all of which have shaped her worldview and guided her toward values-driven marketing. Britt is always eager to discuss equitable, local, and sustainable food systems. In her temporary role at Oldways, she is excited to contribute to mission-driven storytelling that helps people reconnect with their roots and thrive.
