Chris Miller, PhD
Director of Wheat Quality Research, Heartland Plant Innovations
Dr. Chris Miller earned a BS in Milling Science and Management, an MS in Grain Science, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University. Chris has expertise in wheat flour milling, dry corn milling and oat milling, and his research interests include wheat protein biochemistry. Chris worked at Quaker Oats, then joined the KSU Department of Grain and Industry faculty in January 2009, as the Buhler Instructor of Milling Science and Management. In this role Chris was responsible for undergraduate teaching and advising, as well as industrial training and outreach through the International Grains Program. Before he joined Heartland Plant Innovations, he worked at Engrain as Sr. Director of Research Innovation and Quality.
