Tess joined Oldways as a Marketing Communications Coordinator in 2023 after receiving her B.A. in journalism from Ohio State. Her family always prioritized home-cooked meals, prepared with love and eaten together. After years of perching on a stepstool to watch her mom make classic German recipes, she picked up baking as one of her first-ever hobbies and has been cooking and learning about food ever since.

Before coming to Oldways, Tess headed the Arts & Life desk at The Lantern – Ohio State’s student-run newspaper – and wrote for CityScene – a lifestyle magazine in Columbus, OH –which allowed her to combine her love of food and writing. She is excited to work with Oldways to help spread the joy that good, healthy food can bring.
