Hey everyone, do you make half your grains whole? Enter the “I Love My Whole Grains” contest, announced by Oldways and the Whole Grains Council to help celebrate Whole Grains Month this September! Studies show that eating whole grains instead of refined grains lower the risk of many chronic diseases, with some studies showing reduced risks from as little as one serving daily. Other benefits include: reduced risk of asthma, healthier blood pressure levels, and less gum disease and tooth loss. How to enter: Send us a photo that shows how you enjoy your favorite whole grain food. To be eligible, photos must clearly show a bona-fide whole grain food. One way to prove it’s really whole grain: include a product that qualifies to use the Whole Grain Stamp.

  • For even more fun, put yourself, your family or your friends in the photo, too.
  • If your picture doesn’t tell the whole story, add a few words or a simple recipe up to a maximum of 1,000 characters.
One grand prize winner will get the chance to have an expert chef come to their home for the day to prepare a week’s worth of dinners for the entire family to enjoy. These meals will be personally customized, and will introduce a whole new world of whole grain dishes.
